Review on Queen Sleeper Sofa Bed Sheet by Denese Fothergill

Neither plush nor comfortable. A set of low quality sheets even at a low price

I've heard of "wrinkled rich" but it is "wrinkled poor". Absolutely the worst sheet set I have ever bought. If these sheets are 100% Egyptian cotton as stated on the label, the fabric must be sourced from Egypt, Vermont. When I first opened them, I saw that the bottom and top sheets were connected and I really liked them for the sofa bed. According to the washing instructions, I washed them on a gentle cycle and tumble dried them on a low setting. They came out crumpled like I rolled them into a ball and left them in the corner to dry. In addition, the creases were so ingrained that the steam iron set on a burst of steam could not bring them out. To make matters worse, my annoyance while ironing increased when I realized how bad the stitching on the pillowcase was. A blind 6 year old could sew better. The seam over the case opening is misaligned by 1-1/2 inches side-to-side, and the side seam is so crooked that it is misaligned by 2.5 inches or more. So I washed them, ironed them, and learned a few lessons: 1. Don't wash cheap sheets until you've thoroughly inspected them. 2. Do not wash and return immediately, even if only the outer packaging looks suspicious, like in this case. 3. And before you buy, think twice before buying really cheap sheets. I can't return them because I washed them, but I might even try fabric softener to see if they can feel less like a sandboard. I'll post again if it's important.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember
