Review on 🔌 Custom 4-Pin Trailer Wiring Harness for Hyundai Tucson - CURT 56348, Black by Wayne Ohlrogge

This is my first review with instructions as I have not been able to find or receive any support from any of the online sources for my 2019 Tucson! I got a new 2019 Tucson right after Christmas last year and the 2019 model has been updated so the basic frame design stays the same. However, Hyundai has added many other new features, so this kit will not be suitable for direct connection. Although the main connector jack stays the same, you'll need to change it up a bit to make it work properly. However, the same sockets are what I was looking for! I contacted Kurt and they had no estimated date when a custom wiring harness for the 2019 Tucson would be available in the market. I'm sure it will be available soon, but I didn't want to wait any longer with something I didn't know. So I took a little risk and everything worked out for me as it should! I'm not a pro or expert and have limited basic knowledge of tools and circuits. That's why I didn't want to modify any of the wires on the Tucson side. When I make mistakes on the car side, parts are hard to come by and repairs get expensive, so I played it safe. If that doesn't work I'll just spend the money on this kit and keep my base warranty as I haven't changed anything that was factory installed. But it works as it should with minimal changes! As I mentioned above, I didn't want to make any changes on the Tucson side, so I came up with a new cable arrangement. It differs slightly from last year's model. But if you have a tester, understanding them will not be difficult. (Also attached is a new wire layout and wire color chart for you! If you don't want to wait like me!) For the 2019 Tucson Hyundai put a lane change assist + cross traffic sensors, the wire is pretty short and I don't want the wire right around the Pass the sensor around so I added about 3 feet of wire for the right tail light connector. The entire installation process, including all cable changes, took about 2 hours. If you are looking to install it on a 2019 Tucson with no modifications to your car, I believe this kit will fit with minimal modifications to this kit. This is doable if you have the basic knowledge and tools. The last picture shows that I have successfully rented a trailer from U-Haul! and it worked great! I hope this helps anyone who wants it now!
