Review on ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Table Mate II Folding Tables - Portable TV Tray Table for Eating & Work with Cup Holder - Black: Convenient and Versatile by Lisa Holland

Great idea, unfortunately not everywhere

PROS: - The table top is quite large, bigger than my old TV stands - The legs of the table have no cross braces and are set far enough apart my legs feel free to move - No tools required to set up, just snap things into place - Changing the angle of the table top is a very handy feature. The lip around the top feels nice too. CONS: - Very weak and unstable. The legs are fairly loose and move with almost every touch. The table top unhooks at the slightest upward movement and collapses completely. Folded tables (the way you store them standing) are extremely unbalanced and will fall over with a light touch. Note that the legs are underneath the sofa in the ad, giving it more support than when it's standing alone. - Big difference in weight carried by the front and back of the table (pretty solid compared to the fact that the table top starts to flex slightly) - Changing the tilt of the table top isn't as smooth as I expected. There are two sets of three hooks into which a metal rod is inserted to determine one of the three inclines. Often enough to be annoying, the bar would slip off various hooks on each side, leaving the countertop crooked. As already mentioned, the cup holder is useless. It's two pieces, not one, and the bottom popped out of the retaining ring when I lifted my drink too quickly. The cup holder's radius allows for larger drinks, but it was so flimsy that I didn't trust it to hold the weight of a large drink for very long. All in all this would be a great table with some small additions for stability. If I had to call this chart my personal value, I would estimate it to be around $15. So I'm going to return the ones I bought and try a competitor. With all the fixes for the stability issues, it will surely cost $40.

  • Great for a small house
