I was looking for risers that would fit not only in diameter but also in DEPTH to my chair's 'legs' which as most of you know are quite small and attached to one metal frame. I chose them because they aren't as large in diameter or as deep as other risers I've considered. Not sure how much I wanted to raise my chair I went with the options set and am grateful for that! I tried the 1 inch section along with the base but I needed it to be taller so I used the full set and it is just right for both viewing my TV on the stand and that Closing easier as my feet are now touching the floor At the same time my knees are on the edge of the seat and not further back which makes closing the footrest very difficult. I tried moving my chair a little closer to the wall, I actually pushed the chair away from the risers, so I had to position the chair where I wanted and then put the risers under the 'legs'. I am very satisfied with this product and recommend it.
