Review on Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W230 12 MP Digital Camera With 4X Optical Zoom And Super Steady Shot Image Stabilization (Silver) by Ryan Sandell

You can be a dumb photographer and still get great shots!

For years I resisted going digital. In the 1970's and 80's I took thousands of photos with a single lens reflex camera with a very good lens. Prints eventually gave way to slides to save money. They all eventually ended up in desk drawers or rarely opened albums. The camera even ended up on the shelf. I didn't want to spend my money on Kodak and Fuji, but on something else. When digital technologies emerged, I went against the culture. I could see the value of the cost without buying and developing film, but everyone was shooting human heads obscuring the original, or poorly constructed photographic images of extremely illegible objects with rotten lenses, as I used to call it. You know what I mean, generally useless images. Now I'm older, more sentimental and will be leaving for Italy soon. I want my friends to take pictures of unusual places, food, country, chefs, farmers, grapes, sliced cheese, wrinkled faces, mountains, rivers, sculptures - in detail! After taking just a few dozen shots in auto mode with this camera, I was amazed at the detail, the contrast, the absolutely perfect interpretation of the subject without touching a single setting. Buy it and love your items - love the fact that you can come back to them with all the passion and excitement you had when you first saw them. Also buy the 8GB Memory Stick ProDuo and you'll have room for thousands of photos and hours of video. Enjoy.
