SAVE YOUR PRINTS FIRST!

Let me first say that I love these screen protectors. I wouldn't buy any other. The problem is that you cannot save your fingerprint for biometric unlocking. Received my phone yesterday and saved 2 fingerprints which worked great. After installing the protective film, the fp unlock got a little fuzzy, so I removed the 2 I kept with the intention of re-rendering them with the protective film for improved accuracy. The phone now lets me save NOTHING. EVERYONE. SINGLE. TIME. I've tried (and there have been several, I've spent hours doing this), it says either "press a little harder" or "make sure your finger covers the entire sensor". I squeezed so hard the whole phone flexed (glass phone!) and used another thumb over the one I was scanning to squeeze as hard as I wanted - I would DEFINITELY break the phone if I pressed harder – and that's it still says the same two things. No way is my thumb covering that little sensor. I certainly don't see any graphics sticking out anywhere, and I've moved my thumb pretty much all over the screen (again, I had no problems before installing the protection) and it keeps telling me one and the same thing. Although Whitestone claims that the screen protector works with the under-screen scanner, the ONLY way to save your fingerprints is to not install a screen protector. Now, after my flawless installation, which looks and feels nice, my only option is to remove the protective film (which costs $30-$40 depending on how you look at it) so I can store my fingerprints before I apply them again and risk imperfections during operation. without backup. I'm so disappointed/upset/angry. This information should be on the outside of the packaging to prevent users from installing a screen protector before saving their prints as this is always the FIRST THING MOST PEOPLE DO TO AVOID SCREEN DAMAGE. And yes, I am touch sensitive. enable in settings. I really miss the fingerprint scanner on the back of my old Note 8. It's a lot easier than on screen anyway, regardless of that crazy situation.
