I like the size, suitable for making either an extra large cup or two small cups of tea. I don't have to heat a whole big pot, I just heat the water right in this glass jug. Then I add a brew filter with my favorite loose leaf tea of the day. Since I don't pour water into the tea leaves, I start the process by stirring the leaves in the filter a bit before putting the lid on. The tea diffuses beautifully into the liquid with no noticeable leaf fragments. The filter is made of thicker metal and does not appear fragile. The pot itself is made of glass so it won't fall off. I would describe the glass as medium thickness but I tested its temperature range between microwave and fridge and it held up well. The pot has a nice big handle and not wanting to get any more dishes dirty I drank my tea. straight out of the jug (please don't judge me). If drinking directly from it, make sure the spout is facing up. I also think the pot is very pretty, especially when I'm brewing lighter teas. . I don't recommend this unless you can run it through a coffee filter when you're done. The infusion is suitable for tea, but not for coffee grounds. *Update* After a few months of use, the glass broke. I think it broke easier than it should, although I could have been more careful. I still use the teapot every day and it fits right into most of my mugs.
