This camera is fantastic - complete package and the Focus camera has great customer service! I chose this camera set for my boyfriend's graduation gift. I liked the camera and kit so much that I bought the same camera for my wife's birthday (although I upgraded the $10 kit to include the Corel software). Customer Service Story: We received the camera in time to collect from home for my daughter. city graduation. Unfortunately we left the software license code in the hotel room. I contacted Focus and they sent a new license code with no problem! We just got a new code so I didn't get a chance to try the Corel software. Below are reviews of other accessories. The shipping was very fast and arrived a day early (despite prime shipping). The camera and accessories were packaged very well. The bag is large for a camera of this size, but it's handy for storing everything you need. I would use a smaller bag for everyday use. We also replaced the strap with Peak Design Leash (great strap). The wrist strap is too big for this camera size. We replaced it with a SpiderLight strap. Batteries and charger work perfectly - the batteries are charged in a few hours. The battery doesn't last long so you need to have a spare. A 64GB memory card is sufficient (you need 64GB or more to use the XAVCS video format for the best video resolution). Filters are a nice addition. We always have a UV filter turned on to protect the lens. The camera is amazing! I have a Canon T4i and this Sony mirrorless camera is better. Some of the advantages: - It's smaller for travel, so you can use it more often - Super fast focusing (one of the fastest available) with a lot more focus points than my Canon - Burst mode: 11 fps (one of the fastest available) - A big one lens (many more lenses available than the Canon mirrorless camera I was comparing) - Continuous focus: the camera will set focus on someone and keep them in focus - especially useful for videos - The quality of the images and videos is amazing ! - The camera is easy to use but also has full control over the DSLR, giving the user full control when they want it. - Electronic OLED viewfinder: This is an advantage over the optical viewfinder because you can see how changes in camera settings affect the image. Cons: - The camera has Wi-Fi but no Bluetooth. The camera has an old NFC (which we haven't tried yet). The wireless connection allows you to connect to the camera and access it remotely to take pictures. The phone displays the camera's image so you can use it as a video monitor. You can even take photos without a memory card and the photo will be transferred directly to your phone! WiFi would be helpful/necessary for vlogging. Wi-Fi can be used to transfer photos to a computer or phone for you to post online (Instagram/Facebook/etc) - Rear screen tilts, but doesn't fully fold for self-portraits - you'll need your Use phone over Wi-Fi for this - Battery life is pretty short; Make sure you have spare parts with you. It's a victim of the small form factor. Instead of batteries, you can use an external battery with a USB cable. - Overheating can be an issue when recording long videos. There is a workaround to deal with this: tilt the screen to dissipate heat. When using an external battery or grip, the batteries are removed from the camera body, reducing heat. The camera has built-in circuit protection so overheating will not damage the camera, but it would be impractical to stop recording until the camera cools down. We haven't experienced overheating, but the tips above can help prevent it. There are several videos on YouTube that you can watch for overviews, tutorials, and camera tips. I would highly recommend this camera system and will continue to buy it. more from Focus Cameras for other family members.
