This was gorgeous and added the perfect amount of fluff to our party dress. I ordered medium - the chart says it's 4-6. My daughter is almost 7 and. usually wears a size 6. It was a bit big so it slid down and we had to lift it up to take some photos. I think it would be almost too big for an average 4 year old. Although the quality is excellent, soft and not prickly. She is 47 inches and 50 pounds for reference. We can get by with that for a few more years.
