If my kids were little kids I wouldn't buy this stool in two sets. lift/move. The step has texture to prevent feet from slipping, and the surface on the bottom is also non-slip and non-slip. neutral colors. Easy to clean. Clever two-tier design for little ones. ME! (for all the above reasons). I need to get up easily (seems EVERYWHERE) and I also don't want to leave the stool in place after picking up my item. They are so light and yet - for this purpose as an adult I feel safe using them for this purpose. The product description says max steps. Although my foot is longer than the depth of each step, I slightly lift the front of my foot and my whole foot is fine on the top step (both feet hang a little but this is not suitable for quick ascent/descend). it's a safety issue for me.) Another nice place I'll be using this step is in our shower for a nice leg shave (our shower doesn't have a ledge/seat/step and it will be easy/easy to get in and out - rub off/dry easily without worrying about moisture getting in.** Please note that the separately packaged trim to 'insert/snap' the 'hand slots' will require a bit of trial and error to lock securely why the stool doesn't snap into place, but you'll find smooth/rounded trim pieces taped to the underside of the stool for toddlers or when you need a foot to reach from a wall unit or shelf.
