This bearing saved my son's distributor. From what I've read, Frontier and Exterra v6 engines share the same distributor. I won't write how to do this, but I'll focus on a few important points. The distributor is held in place by a screw. You have to push the connector inwards to disconnect it. Inside is a crankshaft sensor disc. The same should be returned. You drive the pin out of the end of the gear to remove the shaft. My posture was toasted. Easily changed. When removing it, I cleaned all the parts very well. Engine oil on shaft before assembly, anti-seize on all bolts/screws and dielectric grease on all electrical connections. Symptoms before bearing change: My son has been driving for 30 minutes and the truck has started to lose power, judder, jump and spin a little at idle. it died After it cooled it would start up again and continue to drive for a while and then repeat again. This truck has 200,000 miles on it and I've read bad stories about copy dealers. The entire job, including meticulously disassembling, cleaning, lubricating and oiling the parts, took about 1 1/2 hours. It's been working fine without codes for about 2 weeks now. You only need one bearing, but why not buy 4 for $7.45? FYI, if you drop the disc like I did, don't worry. Install disk and install rotor. See how the large hole in the disc fits into the sensor. Look where the rotor is pointing. Where is wire #1 connected? No, turn the disc over and try again bro. I am very happy with this purchase. Nobody compensated me. If you have 100,000 on your distributor, change that stock! 1998-2004 it seems. There are several threads and several videos on YouTube. Much luck.
