Review on 🌿 150g Dark Brown Henna Hair Color / Dye - Natural, Chemical-Free Hair Color for Hair - From The Henna Guys by Rodney Handy

I've been thinking about changing my hair color but didn't want to risk chemical damage to my hair. I also really, REALLY wanted to try red, but knew it would require a lift because my hair is such a dark shade of brown. So, on a whim, I decided to try this henna dye for the first time because all the reviews seemed pretty positive! juice and 2-3 tablespoons of honey (to naturally lighten my hair color), about 1.5 tablespoons of olive oil (for softness), and about 1 cup of warm distilled water (as directed on the package). It seemed quite lumpy even after stirring, but I covered it with plastic wrap and let it sit for 15 hours. When I was ready to use it, it had a smooth, pudding-like consistency! Now that I read that henna colors hair (the lighter your hair, the lighter the color), I was ready for a redder hair color, but that's about it. After leaving it in my hair under a shower cap for 4 hours I was amazed at my results - my naturally dark brown hair is definitely brassy now and has never felt so soft! I was so impressed! Hooray for natural alternatives, even if they looked like my hair was covered in baby poo while I waited for the color to set! I gave it four stars because every time I shower, yellow-orange water still comes out of my hair. Unfortunately, I didn't take a "before" photo before trying it out, so I sent the "before" selfie to my parents here. in December after a haircut, haha. However, it doesn't include hair color, so I thought it would be a good way to show off my natural color. Needless to say I will definitely try this again!
