My 5 year old son got it in his head that he wanted to learn how to make balloon sculptures which we have been doing at parties etc for years. I finally found this set on Revain and now he's the happiest boy on the planet. Every night we sit in his room, watch a tutorial video and learn how to knit a new balloon sculpture. I have to admit that I am not at all familiar with needlework and was skeptical that we could learn it. But with a book with a training video, I was surprised myself. We started out with swords, bows and arrows, which the five year old was perfectly happy with. Now he has even learned to tie them himself. Since then we've moved on to more detailed sculpts like turtles and tyrannosaurs. We are having so much fun! He and I are both very proud of ourselves and the new skills we have learned.
