At first I found it difficult to tighten the plastic nut around the float body because it was too close to the bowl. But I found out. The horses loved it and everyone was happy for a few days until somehow, which remains a mystery to this day, the threads on the float snapped and the hose (which we had to buy separately) was attached. Good news! They offer a second swimmer in anticipation of precisely these types of mistakes! (That should have been my first clue). I struggled with this pesky mother and replaced the float, but after a week I ended up in the exact same boat. Manufacturers of equine products should plan their projects in such a way that horses are horses and will tear up absolutely everything that is thrown at them. If anyone has a solution that will keep me using this product for more than a few days, I'll be happy to correct my review.
