I gave it four stars for one main reason. The main part of the holder is made of plastic, the ball and lock nut are made of plastic. If they break, your phone is just around the corner. It's very short and the toe/feet is only about 7/16" or 11.11mm deep. It stretches as far as you want (don't crush your phone). It has rubber toe/feet on the sides to prevent slipping It's just not designed for fat phones but with an elastic band and strap any phone should be secure I have a sturdy Oukitel phone (I love a phone with a HUGE battery) that lasts about 3 /4" or 19mm thick. And he left my phone on my gear for a 2280 mile trip. I installed it on a 2007 Harley Davidson Night Rod (Harley racing bike) to hold up at high speeds. : ) I'd say if you buy it you won't have any problems. Installation took a few minutes including connecting to a USB 3 charging battery. I've never used a charger lol my phone always charges. Add just add an elastic band and a strap, to keep you safe.
