I bought these for my special needs daughter (she is 5 and not potty trained). They saved her clothes while she was at school. She's very active and the diapers/panties she wears aren't very good, but Medicaid pays for them so I'm not complaining. If she moves the wrong way the diaper can't absorb liquid and she was fine with that at school and she hasn't come home with wet clothes in new clothes. This particular size is very long. It doesn't cover her diaper from front to back, but almost. If you're looking for extra lighting, I'd go with that. Try it. Possibly a different size if the person using it still bought diapers from the store.
