Some cons but a great budget IEM. Update: Musicians: Not suitable for monitoring

My expectations may have been low, but it sounds great. They can be a bit heavy at low frequencies, but that depends on the style of music. The bass is very present but doesn't overwhelm the mids and highs at all, you can hear this dynamic in electronic and rap music where the bass is usually very heavy. The audio in the iphone is very clear and surprisingly loud, louder than any other headphones I have, I keep the volume at four or five levels. Overall I'm very satisfied, I like that I can swap out the cable for a Shure se215 cable if needed, although I'm wondering why GranVela doesn't offer replacement cables? (Have searched the internet, has anyone else found it?) I deducted a star for a number of reasons. Versatile earplugs can cause ear pain after prolonged listening, and that goes for them. I've tried all the tips provided and my ear canals still hurt a little after listening. Two of my favorite tips are double flange and memory foam. I wish they came with a small case or even a case like many other IEMs. Finally I didn't buy this product because of the built in microphone but I found that they are not good for using with the phone, the closure on the ears is so tight you can't hear yourself! It's embarrassing and you'll end up screaming or at least feeling uncomfortable because you can't hear your own voice. I know some brands add environmental feedback to the mic so you can hear yourself. Obviously these are budget headphones so this isn't going to happen. That and the inconvenience of prolonged use are not a deciding factor at this price point. I've used the Se215 and they're comparable in construction and sound clarity, and are $80-$100. All in all a great product for the price, especially with two riders! excellent work. Currently. Let's see how well they hold up over time! Update 5/27/16: They don't work with Avalon or Behringer Micromon headphone amps if that's what you're looking for. My church uses Amalon and at home I use Micromon. I think the inline mic ruins everything. I have not received any response from the company to purchase a replacement cable without a mic (still can't find one online). What good is a detachable cable if you don't sell a replacement? I wouldn't have bought them if I knew that, but they still sound good for casual listening, which is their only functional use for me right now.
