I thought XL was like typical 14-16 brands, it's not, it's like 10-12. They fit but don't stretch enough to even consider comfortably fitting my child for play. Order one size up if your child is slightly larger in the waist. My son usually wears 14-16 perfectly. I would order XXL. If your child is tall and skinny, yours is gold.
