I bought it on Ali during the November 2022 sale for only $700 including shipping. (at the regular price of 1000) Despite the low impedance and high sensitivity, they play much better with a good amplifier and a DAC (I have smsl m500+audio-gd nfb 1amp). In terms of sound and convenience, I liked it more than the lcd-2 and focal elear. (sitting lighter, playing in more detail, the stage is larger) The build quality is of course disgusting for expensive headphones (there are also he-400s, he-400i there, too, their problems), or maybe they sold the marriage on sale. This time we managed to assemble a good design poorly, I had to loosen the nuts on the headband so that they would not scratch the cup. The ear pads themselves have not yet scattered, but the ear pad mount has broken off. (but there are a lot of mounts, in principle it holds well) Well, and most importantly - this time even the driver was poorly assembled (hello damping), it began to resonate after a few months of use. I tried to disassemble, clean, screw the screws tighter. (of course it doesn’t help) As a result, I slightly washed the membrane from below (where there are no magnets), apparently it became harder, it doesn’t resonate, it got better, I suspect the frequency response was also spoiled, but the difference is not noticeable by ear. If there was a guarantee, then of course it doesn’t work, but I didn’t intend to send it back to China: xs how will it go through customs (we have new funny laws) and what they decide there on the spot, so I really don’t advise taking something expensive from high-fimens outside the country. (it will break for sure, but it is problematic to repair)
