Review on SSD Station M.2 NVME AgeStar 31CBNV1C (Gray) USB 3.1, aluminum, grey by Agata Zimka Semeniuk ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

Very small and handy item. Cloning software does everything in 2 clicks. An SSD with a thick heatsink will have to be disassembled if this does not void your warranty, or remove the cover of the docking station case (4 screws under the legs). Before buying, check the type of SSD key you are going to connect. The docking station is suitable only for the M key (see the letter next to the contacts) and only for the NVME controller (check in the documentation what type of Sata or Nvme you have).

Pros
  • - compact and durable - heavy, stable, on rubberized legs - easy to use, normal software - connects SSD like a regular external drive
Cons
  • - SSD with a large heatsink will not fit, you need to either remove the heatsink or remove the cover of the docking station - very tight and rather short cable - the work indicator light is located on the side of the cable, you have to look behind the protruding card - the link to download the cloning program did not open, I had to find it in the web archive (webarchive) - expensive
