Review on Winjet Compatible 1999 2002 Silverado Suburban by Scott Carlile

Non OEM replacement, poor construction, poor materials

Purchased to replace the OEM fog lights on my 2005 Chevy Suburban, one of which had lost its lens. These builds fit. You are the right size. However, this is where the similarity ends. The plastic on these items is incredibly soft - you can literally bend and bend the plastic clips by hand. Compare this to an OEM product where the plastic is strong and tough. The feathers on these lanterns had only 8 turns of very soft metal, the feathers literally bounced up and down the pole. Compare this to an OEM item where the springs are 24 coils of much harder metal and actually do their job of stabilizing the bulbs. This item turned out to be very wobbly and springy when installed, which is unacceptable while driving. So I ended up using the original brackets and springs from my car and just attached them to the lamp housing from this item. This gave a reasonably stable mix that worked. So you just know you get what you pay for, as you always do. If you're looking for something cosmetic that's fine, but if you want stable functionality this won't work very well without lots of modifications.
