The material of the scarf is soft but VERY thin. You could literally read a newspaper in it. The weave of the fabric is so loose that it blurs the image of the beagle. I'd say you get what you pay for, but I've made better scarves off the $5 discount shelves. I bought this as a gift for a friend who loves beagles but now I'm struggling for a last minute gift because there's no way I would give it to anyone. save your money
