I have a finished house with lots of open space. I needed something to ward off the vague, mysterious smell of pets and the general weird smells that get up my nose from time to time and make me sniff around the house for a reason, like a bloodhound trying to find an escaped criminal hunts. I bought 4 packs of candles and a 3 pack of oil. I wired two of these, one in the living room and one in the huge family/dining room. The smell got pretty strong pretty quickly, and that's when I saw that the default setting was high. I turned it down to its lowest setting and ended up turning off the one in the living room as it was too strong for me. (I am sensitive to floral/perfume smells). Even with just one of them on at minimum power, the light aroma of the oil still filled the places where I live. (Can't speak to the two unused bedrooms) EDIT: Okay, now I know why they smelled so bad. I put them in upside down and they leaked everywhere. There's $12 I'll never get back.
