I am a professional photographer and use a cable release for most of my work, so these cables are often used in my bag. While I didn't expect this one to last forever, I did expect it to last over two days. The problem with these super cheap cables is that they use the smallest possible wire and use the inferior metals (probably aluminum instead of copper). After not bending the wire too much in actual use, the ultra-thin wire inside the cable case will eventually break. But I always got at least 6 months of it. This guy is sold under many different brands and is the worst I've used so far. I usually use Neewer brand cables (sold under different names) and they last 8-12 months before giving up. I thought it would be similar, but it isn't. I ordered a few more Neewers and sent them back. While Canon has the best lifespan (a twenty or more bux), Neewer is probably the best bet for buk under the age of twenty.
