I really like this light but there is one issue that keeps me from recommending it. In fact, I wouldn't have gotten it if I had known. The problem is that it turns itself off after 4 hours whether you want it or not. It has some great smart features that stay on until you shut it down as it comes with a 4 hour shutdown timer that you can't cancel. Yes, there is an app that you can connect to and manage the colors. You can even set your own timer, but your own timer means nothing as the pre-programmed timer overrides your timer. Even if you get a "success" popup, it means nothing if your timer is set for more than 4 hours. . When I buy a light, I can decide when it should be off. If it's in the kids room at night and they fall asleep with it, what if they wake up in the middle of the night and the ceiling is dark? The light has a nice calming effect when it's on and if you wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom it would be nice if the light was still on. I feel like turning the light on and off is fundamental and that 4 hour outage had a major impact on what the basics of light ownership and use should be. I absolutely do not recommend this, even if it's amazing for 4 hours, as I don't have to keep turning it off and on to use it for more than 4 hours.
