Pretty much everything that could go wrong with this purchase. 1.) I ordered an espresso, but I gave black. My house is full of espresso furniture so I ONLY bought it because it was espresso. The box said espresso, but the color of the boards inside was black. Seems to me this is a packaging error but if I had known it was going to be black I would not have ordered it. So suddenly everything goes wrong. I figured it was just for the bathroom and nowhere to be seen, so I continued. This was an error for the following reasons, which are discussed below. 2.) As other people have pointed out, the packaging is so poor that little styrofoam balls pop out and literally COVER every item in the box. I spent hours clearing them of debris and then several more hours cleaning the floor. If spending hours cleaning up unnecessarily small pieces of styrofoam sounds like fun to you, then this junk is for you. 3.) Because the packaging was so bad, the front of the tree was all wrinkled and damaged. The surface of the wood is actually something like a chipboard sticker. So if there's a dent or other damage it's easy to see because that's the brown color of the wood underneath. They give you extra stickers to seal imperfections, but then it just looks like a big random circle on the front of the cabinet. 4.) Some of the screws didn't even go into the pre-drilled holes. Although each part was clearly labeled, sometimes the particular screw that was recommended to me just didn't fit in the pre-drilled hole (the screw head was larger than the hole) and I had to use other screws from other sources that I have, luckily , I was already in Haus.5.) The thing itself is really shaky and unstable. The manual didn't include instructions on how to screw the cabinet to the wall, but you MUST do it (there are holes in the wood for you to do this) or it will fall off. It's actually surprising how unstable it is because the magnets on the doors are incredibly strong. Because they are so strong, if you try to open the door, the cabinet will be swept away and the whole thing threatens to fall down on you. What I had to do was move the metal on the doors so the magnets were only partially attached to it (the corner of the piece of metal) so the attraction wasn't as strong. And of course I had to screw the cabinet to the wall. But again, the instructions don't say to screw it to the wall, which is a huge responsibility for the company that makes this stuff. I can easily imagine someone tipping over and having it all fall on their head. That can happen very easily. 6.) Finally, it just looks bad. It doesn't look like the photos. It doesn't look like good furniture. I am ashamed that he is at my house. The purchase was a mistake and I regret it.
