When preparing for a trip to the Minnesota frontier waters this summer, we usually use a tent, but this year we decided to give hammocks a try. Bought a Sunyear hammock, tarp and chair and set it up for a test run over the weekend after receiving the equipment. After initial setup and first night's sleep I noticed the stitching on one of the tarp straps was coming undone so I emailed. Sunyear to verify receipt of a warranty replacement and received an email reply the same day to give them my address and they will send a replacement immediately. I sent them my address and some photos so they could document the shipment and get confirmation the next day. Two days later I received a replacement tarpaulin and was able to get started. I have used this gear for the next three weekends and am impressed with the quality and durability of the hammock, tarp and chair. All the fairly light zips on the mosquito net are quite strong and the chair is solid. Yes, there are better gears, but they are much more expensive. I have years of camping experience both as a family and as a Boy Scout adventure and if you are looking for reliable camping or home use gear that doesn't cost a fortune then I would recommend Sunyear to others. I also recommend Sunyear for their customer service, they respond quickly, resolve any issues quickly and are very polite. Sometimes you can get faulty devices, anything can happen. But they reacted quickly and solved the problem. The replacement I received was excellent. I think the best thing I can say is that Sunyear has a customer for life! Thank you Sunyear.
