I wanted to give my 12 year old boy a music player that doesn't have internet or games. Just an easy way to listen to music while he does housework, walks his dog, etc. He always asked me to use my phone, but many times I needed it myself. After reading the reviews I thought that this one would work well enough without needing a replacement if it breaks or loses it which was given as a birthday gift and loved it. Liked the red and black. He liked how small it was and liked that he could use it anywhere. We have a Macbook Pro so I had to learn how to change the format of my songs in iTunes so I could upload them to the player. Some tracks in iTunes are not allowed to change format. So if you are using Apple products, please consider this before purchasing. It really worked for us and I knew that before purchasing after reading reviews and detailed product descriptions. I am very happy with this purchase and so is my son. Highly recommended.
