Most of the beads I have ordered from ABCgems have been amazing, interesting and beautiful. I bought 10mm citrine beads a few months ago, they were a great color and beautiful. Then I ordered the same citrine beads, this time 8mm. These beads are always a bit more expensive so I was very disappointed to find the beads lacked in color quality. I understand that the gemstone can vary but there certainly needs to be a little more quality control. When I say these pearls are colorless, I mean almost no color at all. Keep in mind that when stringing beads onto colored thread, you must take into account that the actual beadstone may not be an acceptable natural color. The packaging used by ABCgems is good, but be aware that while the black background of the packaging is not deceptive, it contrasts nicely with most of the beads, in this case the gemstone beads, which are reinforced with a bright dark yellow thread. I know it's better then to cut the thread holding the beads together, but that's exactly what I did. I couldn't see beyond the amplified effect of the bright thread. The beads had very good transparency and excellent cut. This is exactly what caused my visual inability to see past the light thread, so ironic! ABCgems is a great company and I take responsibility for my mistake cutting the thread, a costly mistake. I don't think I will be able to replace her. This is how companies usually work. I suggest you examine the citrine carefully. The company is respected.
