The difference between this one and others I've tried is that the roller is coated with fine quartz particles. It appears to be covered with very fine diamond dust. They do a great job right from the start. I often forget that there are 2 speeds to choose from because the first one works really well. It makes my feet much smoother than any other device/tool I've used before. One thing I would like to say is that be sure to use the included USB cable. Even if you have other compatible cables, it will charge faster and fully if you use the cable provided by the manufacturer. A few extra pedicure tools/accessories should have been included but weren't. I was only interested in the device itself, it wasn't a big problem for me that they were gone. If I had PAID for this set I would be upset that it does not contain everything that is advertised. Hence the 3 star rating. I hope my humble opinion helps you in some way. Thank you for reading.
