I bought this to replace an old soundbar we bought a few years ago (when soundbars first became popular). I chose it mainly because it has Bluetooth capability (which our old one didn't have), which is useful when I want to play music through my smartphone. It was very easy to connect with the bluetooth function. Simply press the BT button on the remote control, turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone, and when the soundbar's Bluetooth is detected, connect. In terms of sound quality for TV purposes, it works just as well as our old one, which I'm very happy with. As others have posted, I noticed a slight buzz when you turn on the soundbar and stand next to it. However, you only hear it when nothing is happening on the TV (no films, etc.) or when the TV is off and the soundbar is on by itself. It's not really a problem for me because I don't like leaving my electronics on when I'm not using them (to save our electricity bills) so it's not a deal breaker for me. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and we can use the soundbar's Bluetooth function to listen to music when we're not watching TV. That's great!
