Order one size up. The child I bought this for wears a 7/8 dress and this (big girl size 7-16) fits her *just*. But we're really happy with the tank itself - it's great for a quick costume change during dance routines, and we can also use it for figure skating! The adjustable straps are very good - the only thing I wish was the straps were removable so you can replace them with transparent straps where the suit doesn't cover as the straps are REALLY visible and not hidden. fully merge obviously lol.
