This is one of those things that you rarely need, but when you need it, it's a good choice. I updated the Arduino project to NodeMcu and already cut out the USB-B socket in my box. This adapter allowed me to keep this hole and use Micro-USB on NodeMcu. The female end has M3 nuts molded into the plastic but doesn't come with M3 bolts so make sure you get those.
