Review on Osprey Ultralight Stuff Pack Shadow: Convenience at Its Finest by Jon Garcia

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Great packaging, bad material

I used the Sea to Summit kit and was happy with it, but the Osprey intrigued me. They are very similar, but the Osprey has three qualities that make it better for me. The first is a side pocket for a water bottle, the second is an external zippered pocket, and the last easily packs into the built-in stash pocket. The problem is that I've used it four times to carry my laptop and iPad around and found that the back panel material has a slight nick or tear. I would have thought that the material of the backpack should be stronger. I've been using the Sea to Summit since 2015 and it's still in perfect condition. As much as I love the Osprey, I cannot recommend it.
