One of the boots broke apart on the inside, and a steel rod went through the lower protective liner. The internal thread of this boot has also fallen apart. The boots were worn about 5 times when this started. This only happened on the right hand trunk so it is possible that this is a manufacturing defect on this only trunk as there are no interior problems in the left hand trunk. Unfortunately, this negative review was published as there was no other way to get suppliers' attention as the defect appeared outside of the 30 replacement window.
