It's Time to Get That Desktop Organized!

Wow, what can I say. This product is EVERYTHING I was looking for to help get my cluttered desktops nice and organized. As an artist it is very easy to let things pile up and get out of control, especially when you have pens, pencils, and drawing tools of all shapes and sizes scattered about!I loved this product so much, I actually bought (2) of them. One for my kitchen table cluttered with folders, papers, bills, and the aforementioned artist tools and the second one for my computer desk.Let me tell you, my desk(s) have never looked better! No longer do I need to fish through scattered piles of pens, markers, sharpies, and pencils for something to write with thanks to the two wire "baskets" that hang securely off the organizer, both easily in reach!I do a lot of cutting in the kitchen and this organizer is perfect for holding my cutting mat, rulers, and x-acto blades safely out of harms way! It also has a nice slot in the back to hold folders, magazines, notebooks, or anything else you might need to store back there.Let's talk assembly first. It can be a bit tricky, but if you're patient enough and follow the instructions to the letter (you can also watch other assembly videos) it's a pretty simple unit to put together and it requires NO TOOLS whatsoever, not even a screwdriver! The key here is PATIENCE.The best way to approach it is make sure all your pieces are separated and organized (ironic right?) and the central tri-fold frame is facing the correct direction, because you will start with that piece and build from there. The organizer arrives in a much smaller box than you might think, but that's the beauty of it!This desk organizer is much bigger than it appears in the product photos, once it's fully assembled.PRO TIP - Don't forget to put those (4) rubber clip "feet" on last so your assembled shelf sits flush on all sides!Once you put it all together, it is amazing to behold and very durable! It's way larger than you'd expect it to be so make sure you take measurements of where you plan to place it (especially on the table) before hand so there's no surprises. I did this with my desktop to make sure it wouldn't interfere with my monitor and speakers. Fits like a glove right off to the far left corner. The three trays slide right into place in the steel rails and the bottom shelf drawer is great for storing knick-knacks, index cards, post it notes, or anything else you might need to reach in a convenient location. Just make sure you're leaving enough space for the drawer to slide out and remember it is NOT modular. The middle section is the widest, while the others are more narrow but there's a good depth to them overall. Nothing on this unit is modular, other than the repositionable pen baskets so what you see, is exactly what you get!You can attach the pen holder "baskets" to either side, they just hang off the railing which is great if you need to reposition them at an time. Personally I keep them both on the right side so it's easy to grab pens, pencils, markers, sharpies, small camera remote, a box cutter, or whatever else you want to stack in there.Between both baskets, you have plenty of room to store whatever writing utensils or smaller tools you may need with room to spare! To be perfectly honest, I love this product and it has made me feel so much happier about keeping things better organized. Each tray holds just over a 8.5 x 11 size piece of paper with enough space between racks to fit small textbooks if need be, photo album, magazines, etc. The height is nice too (you can fit a ream of copy paper in between), keeping things well in reach when you need them with no snags, just smooth movement all around. If you're looking to bring some organization to the cluttered table tops in your life, I highly recommend picking this unit up! You may find yourself wanting to buy more than one, like I did!
