As an adult, this is normal at best. If you are looking for real protection (e.g. against small children) this is not for you. I put it on and it's a typical case design: a hard case, then a rubber case if you want, but of all the phone cases etc I've had of this design, this is by far the sloppiest! You put everything in place, and when you move your hand, the rubber pops or shifts somewhere, and it never stops. Decided to switch in 5 minutes!
