I bought Honey Bee Wraps, Bee's Wraps and PataBee Beeswax Wraps. Of the three, they had the least pleasant/sweet odor and the Honey Bee and PataBee wax packs smelled almost the same with only a slight difference in strength. As I tested. I've compared every version so far for appearance, plasticity, and lifespan, then tested each on a) a plastic jar of sunflower seeds, a small glass of water, a glazed cereal bowl, a metal bowl, and a sliced loaf of Freshpet dog food (I don't believe in freshpet, but I do dog is ill and in one of his fussy moods). I also compared sealing, cleaning/instructions and their performance at refrigerator and ambient temperatures. They were the most comfortable to work with, but weren't as sticky as Honey Bee Wraps. The Bee's Wrap brand is made in Vermont. Instructions were similar - wash in COOL water with dish soap, hang to dry, fold and store. Reusable for about a year and not recommended for meat. Avoid heat and don't cut it. The colour/pattern was a beautiful off white with a honey print. Large - 13" x 14", Medium - 10" x 11", Small - 7" x 8". The smell is the only gentle/pleasant of all the brands I've tried. It gets an A for ductility and doesn't wear at bends or corners. It wasn't as sticky on wet/sweaty glass as the Honeybee Wrap brand. The leak is the same as the PataBee brand with water glass test. It left no visible marks like Honeybee Wrap. I would give it a 2 for functionality. I like the pattern, although I personally prefer simple earth tones, I don't mind honeycomb. This pack contains 3 sizes and they are a good combination and perfect for many uses. Out of all 3 brands they ranked 1st for coating durability - PataBee had damage from sharp corners formed when folded, they had almost no wear/opacity on folded corners. They worked equally well on all different surfaces, just not as well as honeybee wraps. They need a little work to stick to the edges and to themselves, but they aren't as rigid as the ParaBee. They wash and dry well. PataBee is made in Switzerland and is considered organic. The instructions are similar but more specific. Hand wash only, max 65 F. Use only the soft side of a sponge to clean, hang dry. Avoid raw meat and fish, heat and direct sunlight. Avoid hot foods and frozen food. There is also a warning not to eat them! They also mention that they should last 4-6 months and you don't have to worry about bits of wax coming off - that's normal and why they use 'only organic ingredients'. It comes with 4 spools: small (8x8"), two medium (11x10") and one large (14x12"). They come in solid colors. The downside of this is that they will not like any creases, corner damage, etc crazy show I would put them 3rd overall they were picky about what to stick to they were the hardest and they didn't stick together well I had to keep smoothing them out and I came back in a few minutes or hours and they would all flare up and flake off.Honeybee Wraps:The packaging says it's 100% organic cotton.Instructions to wash first with a mild detergent and a soft sponge and rinse in cold water. They recommend not to use it on raw meat (which means the surfaces are porous and not easy to sterilize) and believe they will last up to a year with proper care.As with all this, avoid heat.I have 3 packets received: large (14 x 14 inches), medium (11 x 10 inches), and small (8 x 8 inches). My biggest gripe with this brand is that it leaves a very sticky mark on anything that really needs a wipe! (see photo!) Prices. A pack of 4 PataBee Beeswax Wraps costs $20.95. A pack of 3 Bee's Wraps is $18. A pack of 3 Honey Bee Wraps is $16.47. General Thoughts. I would not buy ParaBee Wraps again. They just didn't work either. These things already require a lot more work than wrapping, sealing, and foil sealing, so the noticeable difference in functionality and level of irritation was a deal breaker. They also have the shortest life expectancy and are subject to wear/damage. The smell is not pleasant, but not disturbing. Solid colors are a plus, but they were simply more robust and bulky without being thicker or more robust. Honey Bee Wraps took first place, they were also the cheapest. The biggest minus is the leftovers! This is a big disappointment. It seems easy to remove in the dishwasher but requires some effort and looks awful when hand washed. However, they were the safest, but required the same amount of work to initially secure things. The templates will probably suit people's preferences, but that doesn't matter. The smell is strong. Wraps from Bee's Wrap took a close second place. Pleasant gentle smell, functionality gets a B rating right after Honey Bee Wraps. I like the pattern better/looks better. They don't seem to wear off, aren't as sticky and don't leave marks. They don't protect liquids and are generally not as secure, but still usable. The final theme for the soap dish. As a vet with a particular interest in zoonoses and food safety, I'm tired of picking on meat. People act like veggies are so perfect and earthy they can't do any harm. All fruits and vegetables should be treated like raw meat! E. coli, listeria, salmonella, botulism, etc. can very easily contaminate vegetables and fruits. Wash them thoroughly! Treat everything that comes in contact with them as if it needs washing! If you put raw/unwashed fruit and veg in these things you are probably creating a contaminating surface that you cannot sanitize as these things are not waterproof for long and cannot be exposed to heat. much less heat outside of your hands for a few seconds. Please be careful and safe in the kitchen! I will give a final life review and a review of each as I will be using them longer.
