These plates are pretty and unique. Each one has a unique pattern (the bottoms are all plain white). Some of the patterns are blurry. For example, on 2 of the plates, I can see the brush strokes where the blue is applied. On another, the pattern just looks a little blurry as though it wasn't printed clearly.The 8" size is as advertised. 8" across the long part, and 7" across the shorter part. The oval shape is unique. The edges are curved upward slightly, but these are definitely plates, not bowls.Overall, I like these, and I would get them again. Just wish the patterns were a little better.
