I like this bag. Other!

I bought this bag just over a year ago (as a work bag so gets a lot of use) and it is quite worn (more worn than worn) and now needs to be replaced. If I could sew, or knew someone who could, I could no doubt easily repair my bag and use it for a few more years, but I can't, so it's not an option for me. I don't want to linger on this review but I'll try to cover all the important points. #1 Big damn bag. Tons of usable space. Great use of mini inner pockets (usually on top of main pockets) to take advantage of wasted top area that would normally just hold air. The best combination of laptop compartment, main compartment and front compartments I have ever found in one bag. #2 Comfortable to wear. Good straps (although that's where the "break” eventually occurred). The elastic really helps them not "dig in" on your shoulders. The handle is strong and well attached. I've used the handle to move my fully loaded bag and it's held up great for over a year, just the plastic is a little cracked. For future improvements I would suggest going for a more pliable rubber with cable reinforcement or a stronger metal grip. #3 Looks good. At least it's not an ugly bag. #4 My only downside is the middle pocket. Pocket between main compartment and front pen pocket. I found this bag quite useless as it directly competes for the space used by the main compartment. It would almost be better to cut the material between the two pockets and use the zip as a smaller access to the main compartment...or just do what I have and not use it. In any case. I think if you want to contribute to the scam I'll talk about wear and tear. Well, the seams on the straps of my bag give me goosebumps. The fabric is good and if I can find someone who is familiar with it I'll see if they can sew this bad boy again. One of the metal eyelet seals popped out, big deal. The picture of the fusion circle is related to a furnace accident...don't ask. It didn't quite go and that was about 2 months after I got the back so it's still pretty strong. All in all I took a few photos to try and give a good idea of all the darn pockets this bag has and an idea of where wear and tear may appear over time. Oh, and another photo of the Drifter II next to the Oakley kitchen sink and all the stuff I put in there for comparison. I ended up sending Oakley back and ordering another Drifter II. Enjoy!
