Review on Vornado VFAN Vintage Circulator Green Heating, Cooling & Air Quality by Kari Vena

****UPDATE 02/27/18**** Except for 1 star. Each of these fans has squeak/squeak/rattle issues. Vornado's answer is you destroy your fan (by cutting the power cord at the base), send them a picture with the power cord and the serial number in the photo, then send you a new one. They do it relatively quickly, but it's a huge waste. I will do another exchange and hope that in 8 months time they will have improved their manufacturing process but I am not hopeful. **** Original Review **** This is my 3rd VFAN Jr. All 3 have developed a high pitched grinding noise. Have it in both white (at home) and chrome (on my desk at work). The chrome whistled shrilly at work, the Vornado quickly and easily replaced the fan for me, the new fan made the same grinding noise for several days. Totally unacceptable for the price. The fan in the house also started to rattle after about 2 weeks. It is recommended to avoid this if you hear fan noise. I live with it until I'm motivated enough to take it apart and figure out what's wrong. I will note that I have this fan in both standard and large sizes - they work very well and don't develop the same sound. Only the Jr model does this.
