Keyboard doesn't work!

I could not complete words with this keyboard. I replaced the batteries with new ones, the keyboard signal is so bad that I can only get 3 or 4 letters at most, then I go back to the laptop keyboard to finish the word. The mouse works great! The keyboard would be great if it could type. I feel like someone owes me a new keyboard that works? Not happy here.
