The construction, design and materials used in this brand of spurs are superior to other brands at half the price. The steel used to attach the buttons is strong and reliable. The spur itself is attached with a cotter pin. The "other" brand, while attractive, uses softer steel for the buttons and the spur is held in place by a welded, non-removable pin. Beautiful engraving, solid construction, quality through and through.
