Since 1998 I have purchased at least 4 wall mounted shower mirrors which have all been mounted flat to the shower wall. I use a shower bench for comfort and safety and I can move this mirror to reach all angles and fields of view. I've read some other reviews, some complaining of fogging and problems installing to the shower wall. How to install it: 1) Choose the place you want to install it and clean the place well with bathroom cleaner, then rinse well and dry with clean towel. 2) Wipe the same spot AGAIN with alcohol and let it DRY! 3) Pour a SMALL AMOUNT of water onto the transparent suction cup, then press firmly. 4) Use the dial to really hold and adjust. 5) Apply a thin layer of rubbing alcohol to the mirror and let it dry VERY WELL! This layer of medical alcohol prevents the mirror from fogging up. A NOTICE. I have been using this mirror since September 2019 and in those 10 months the mirror has only fallen off the shower wall TWICE. Each time I unscrewed the knob, I followed the same installation process I outlined above. I believe that the mirror only fell off because the contact between the suction cup and the shower screen has become dry.
