This album is beautiful. I bought it for my best friend and secretly printed out the photos and put them in an album before giving them to her. she exclaimed! I did not use the supplied photo corners. I've bought others that weren't as flat, but still pretty flat. When I uploaded all the photos, the album wasn't closed yet. Cover and pages are clearly raised. I still love this album and will buy it, but that's the only downside I think it's worth mentioning for those who get bored with it. The sides are VERY GOOD. Thick, durable. I liked both the pages and the cover. I don't think the tie will work. Pages are sewn in so pages cannot be added or removed, but this album has LOTS of pages. I think it had the most adventure albums I've researched.
