Liked it, immediately turned around and got the 2nd

Came back from a cruise a month ago and while shopping in different ports I've "slammed" several times and found the zipper on my fanny pack was open . When you re-board your ship, you MUST show your passport and cruise card. That means you have to take your IDs with you everywhere and risk losing them. Fanny packs aren't even travel safe so I looked for another solution and this is it. I was very surprised that there are so many configurations of these "neck bags". I've never heard of them before. Pros: Can be worn INSIDE the shirt. The adjustable shoulder straps can be stretched so far that part of the bag can also be tucked into the waistband. You can wear an OUTSIDE shirt and tuck it partially into your pants to keep it from hanging out. bags! THIS pouch has a ton of pockets, but what I love most is the top gusset. You can hide your passport in the inside pocket, fold it over the outside pocket and there is a zipper on the flap. A pickpocket can open this zipper, but it will be a "fake" opening with nothing inside. But that's not all. There is a zippered side pocket for credit cards (and pens). This is a DIFFERENT hole that sits in front of the passport pocket giving you a second fake hole for your important documents behind. I doubt I'll need all of that, but having more pockets won't hurt as long as they don't add bulk. They don't. There's also a handy little SIM card pocket with a hook to open your phone! And a pen pocket inside! The pen is the only thing I always forget and then regret. A small detail, but an important one. In front an ID pocket (yes, 3 layers in total, with a passport on the back, all holes that might fool the determined pickpocket with plenty of time). with Velcro fastener. No one can get your driver's license or cruise card simply because they have to undo the velcro first, and this velcro runs the full length of the bag and is very noisy when opened. In order to see the ID at all, you have to lift the mentioned security flap/pocket. The valve also rotates downwards and opens with a noise. It was designed by someone who has definitely been stolen before and can see all the weak spots in a bag. Things I didn't even think about until I got this and was amazed by the effectiveness of the design. The neck strap packs into its own back pocket so it doesn't get lost or tangled with anything else you've packed. I LOVE this feature. When I travel, I have enough hanging things to unravel. My phone chargers, headphones, laptop charger. I don't want another cable to add clutter. It packs well and doesn't take up any space at all as it's flat. Cons: It expands as you put more stuff in it, so it doesn't replace my purse unless I'm traveling ultralight. But even for an adventure like ziplining, you can tuck it into your shirt, then your pants, and go without worrying about losing anything. Okay, I'm thinking of the cons here, and sorry, I can't. I got the 1st, then turned around and got the 2nd, if I need another one I'll take the 3rd. This configuration just WORKS and I don't care if it costs a little more, it's worth it. Hope that helps.

  • Well built
Cons
  • Long wait
