The belt looks good and the buckle mechanism is well thought out and works well. Leather is not as soft and supple as more expensive belts. One possibility is that you may need to trim the strap at the end of the buckle if it is too long. When you do this, cut the stitches that run the length of the belt. This can cause the thread to eventually unravel. I've only had mine for a month and so far no problems.
