This sleeping bag is great! The scar was peeled off because we found a large hole along the seam after just a month of use, but it was easy enough to fix. It's super soft and warm. My son's room is drafty and even with the heating on it was 63 degrees at night and he was cold. It really helped! We dress him up in a jumpsuit under thick cotton or loose fleece pajamas and this sleeping bag over that. I love that it has buttons in the pits for slimmer babies, although we don't need it (my giant wears a 2T at 14 months). It's VERY long but these bars would make it secure even if it was smaller. However, I would definitely say that you don't have to increase the size!
