Great product. Ordering a second time because I've had the first one for several years (about 5) and the upholstery has fallen apart. I bought a gray insulating pad and cut it to size, but the material wears out and crumbles into dust. The cover is also stretchy, so those of you who know how to sew might prefer to just make a new one yourself. However, the heating pad didn't work last year either, so I decided to just order a new one. Pretty wasteful because I don't need a new base. I wish they would just sell the heating pad separately for a great price. But the whole unit costs $35, so swapping is not taboo. However, this material wear in just a few years does not allow 5 stars. I'm taking off another star because the company put this hideous rubber logo on the fleece cover, which luckily was sewn on instead of glued on, so I cut the threads and removed it. No cat wants to sit on it - what were you thinking, K&G!? It really annoys me when brands put ugly logos on their products. I don't want my house to be an advertisement. Remove the logos and it will be a 4 star product. PS: I would like to add for people who have fallen off windowsills: DO NOT RELY ON THE LIME PROVIDED. USE YOUR OWN BRAND VELCRO, INDUSTRIAL STARCH AND CRAZY GLUE TO THE WINDOW SILL AND ANOTHER STRIP TO THE PLASTIC BASE. WHEN THE ADHESIVE IS WELL DRY, VELCRO THE BASE TO THE WINDOW SILL. I did this after dropping the product the first few times and hasn't dropped it since. My cat is 10 pounds and she jumps on this thing from 3 feet and lands hard.
