Hello. The sound of the headphones is quite good and meets my requirements. Thin sounds and bass that I could barely hear in my old headphones (Sony, JVC, $10-$20 Skullcandy) were more noticeable in these Tweedz. I don't know what typical $35 headphones sound like, so I can't make that comparison. I ordered the headphones because my cat destroyed several of my headphones last year as well as a pair of headphones. I've noticed that the braided material on my phone charger keeps my cat from biting my charger. Since the earbuds were also made of a similar material, I figured the earbuds would be perfect. However, my cat was still able to bite through the cords and render them useless as can be seen in my photo. I took off a star for that reason, as the Tweedz blog post sort of originally advertised the headphones as being cat-safe. But it was still my fault for leaving the headphones on the table for my cat to eat. So while other commenters have had better experiences with headphones and their pets, be aware that buying these animal welfare headphones may not completely get the job done, and still be careful with your pets. .Nevertheless, I emailed the Tweedz team afterwards asking about the possibility of a replacement. They responded quickly and said yes. I sent in the destroyed pair and received a new set. Additionally, they also updated their blog post about the availability of cruelty-free earbuds to reflect my experience. So I was very happy that the Tweedz team took the initiative to satisfy the customer and fix/clarify the issue. Hello you! Overall I give the product 4 stars as the earphones perform their primary function as a hearing aid quite well. And if I could I would give the company 5 stars for their outstanding customer service.
